I am a Senior Lecturer*  in the School of Information Technology at Whitireia Polytechnic, a government-owned and funded tertiary institute of technology in New Zealand.

My teaching focuses on systems development methodologies and the processes, practices, and tools used in developing software-based systems. I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and support effective learning by delivering courses using a mix of interactive workshops, in-class experiential learning, small group work, blended online delivery, and traditional lectures.

My research concerns the factors that influence information technology project success, in particular how agile software development affects project coordination, project teamwork, and organisational agility. I have published in the Journal of Systems and Software, Information Systems Frontiers, and the New Zealand Journal of Applied Computing and Information Technology, in books such as Modern Techniques for Successful IT Project Management, and in conference proceedings including HICSS, PACIS, AMCIS, ACIS, CITRENZ, and CRWIG.

*A Senior Lecturer in New Zealand is equivalent to a tenured Senior Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the USA system.
